Precise positioning, manipulation, and processing of the products is time-consuming and quite often impossible – or at least not ergonomic for the people to perform. This is when robot applications with integrated vision systems can make a big difference.
Robots can be used for part, tool, or sensorics handling, which enables one set of measuring equipment to cover multiple angles and positions of the inspected parts. Robot vision can operate in a master-slave configuration with a vision system (or vice versa) in cases where demanded inspection dictates the use of multiple sensors at the same time.
We have extended experience with connecting various robots (Mitsubishi, ABB, Kuka) with various detection systems (Cognex, Keyence or custom/modular made) via various communication protocols (ProfiNET, Ethernet IP, DIO, Profibus, Modbus TCP, etc.).
